As well as being within walking distance of all that Montefalco offers (including a host of shops such as a butcher, baker, pharmacy, food store, pasta shop, ice cream shop, wine store and post office as well as numerous excellent restaurants), Casa Clarignano is perfectly situated for exploring the wider central Italian region. It is within 15 minutes of the lovely town of Bevagna and the train station in Foligno and within an hour of Spello, Spoleto, Assisi, and Perugia. It is also within two hours of Rome, Florence, Ancona, Orvieto and all that Umbria and Tuscany have to offer.
Montefalco itself is relatively free of tourists despite its beauty. It is affectionately known as the 'balcony of Umbria' enjoying spectacular views of the valley below, famous for the Sagrantino wine and local olive oil.
