Situated just a few minutes drive from the popular seaside town of Santa Maria di Leuca and the amazing beaches that this area of Puglia boasts, this is an extremely high end property that has won numerous awards both for design and for it's 'green' credentials. These include a Casa Clima Global Gold award for its incredible energy efficiency and a 2017 SMART building award. The building truly incorporates cutting edge 21st century technology, some of which is almost kind blowing in it's ingenuity. As an example, the window blinds move automatically so that on cooler days, the sunshine can come in to warm the interior whilst on hot sunny days, they are closed to keep the warmth out, whilst a separate system ensures that there is always clean air bringing fresh air in from the outside and taking the dirty air back out, all without negatively affecting the internal temperature. Lighting is controlled by cleverly panels on the walls and solar panels on the roof provide hot water. Much of this technology is made possible by a weather station positioned on the roof of the house and by an unbelievable system of computers kept behind closed doors in the basement of the property.
The technology has in no way been delivered at the expense of the design. The interior is simply beautiful. It's modern, contemporary and incredibly stylish and, with all the rooms on one floor, it's a great option for those who struggle with steps.
As you come through the front door, you immediately find yourself into a welcoming living area. A white circular fireplace oozes style and is positioned on the wall adjacent to a TV unit. Comfortable cream sofas provide a relaxing place to sit and double sliding doors lead out to the terrace and pool area. Practical as well as stylish, a wall mounted shoe rack is positioned by the front door as are plenty of stylish coat hooks and pegs.
Moving through this room, there is a stunning dining area furnished with large wooden dining table and contemporary white seating. Another TV sits in a sleek modern wall cabinet and again, double sliding doors lead out to the terrace. Lights hang down from the ceiling above the dining table creating another incredibly stylish space.
The kitchen sits just beyond this room. This is equipped with high quality equipment, including Siemens induction hob, built in microwave, large oven, fridge / freezer, dishwasher and double sink. The kitchen boasts high quality wooden units and a wall mounted wine rack is the perfect spot to store your favourite tipple. A picture window above the sink provides the perfect view to look out onto when preparing your evening meal. Doors also lead from this room to the rear of the house.
A sliding door takes you from the living area to the sleeping area. In total there are four bedrooms in the property. The first is a double bedroom with double wardrobes, wooden bed and chest of drawers. It's a good sized, comfortable room. An adjacent bathroom has a large shower with oversized shower head, sink, WC and toilet. The shower room is beautifully designed with stunning wall tiles in a design typical of the Puglia region. As you move through the hallway, there is another double bedroom similarly furnished to the first bedroom. This has doors leading directly out to the side of the property and boasts an ensuite shower room. The third bedroom also enjoys doors to the garden. This room has a kingsize bed, plenty of wardrobe space, chest of drawers and side tables. There is an adjacent bathroom. Finally the fourth bedroom has a 'younger' feel and would be ideal for either children or adults to enjoy. It can be laid out as either a twin or double room and also has a desk area for those who need to get some work done during their stay. If required, these last two bedrooms and bathroom can be closed off from the rest of the property.
The outside space is just as impressive as the interior. There is a large heated swimming pool which can be used in the Winter as well as the Summer months. Lawns and immaculately kept flower beds frame the pool area whilst there is also a generous sized terrace boasting more formal seating for eight as well as more relaxed seating on contemporary wicker style chairs and sofas. There is a drinks trolley and a covered pergola lined with bamboo to provide shade from the midday sun. To the front of the property, maturing palm trees will start to provide additional shade for guests to enjoy and there are also mature orange and olive trees scattered in the grounds. A covered parking area will ensure that your car will stay cool throughout the day.
The outside space is also practical as well as luxurious. To the rear of the property, hidden from view from the pool and terrace area, is a laundry room with Bosch washing machine as well as a rotary washing line. In addition there is an outside bathroom with shower, WC, bidet and shower as well as a separate external shower. Even this is beautiful in its design with blue mosaic tiling.
The property is within walking distance of Galliano del Capo and just a few minutes drive from the superb beaches that this area can boast. Given the incredible white sandy beaches and beautifully crystal clear water, it's not surprising that the area has been nicknamed the 'Maldives of Italy'.
It truly is the most stunning house in which to enjoy a holiday in Puglia.

The pool is open from 1 May to 30 September each year. Please note that for arrivals after 9 p.m. there is a charge of 30 euros. Rates include linen and towels but exclude a weekly cleaning fee of 150 euros. A 2000 euro security deposit is payable locally on arrival but is returned in full after your departure upon the property being left in satisfactory condition.
A 30% deposit is required on booking to reserve the dates with the balance of rental payment due 9 weeks before arrival. Payment is possible in GBP or euros. Payment methods include credit / debit card, PayPal or direct bank transfer. Additional fees may apply. Please ask for more details.
