Domaine de Loumarin








This is a wonderful estate in Provence, set in the Luberon district in the very heart of the region. Set in 60 acres of private land, the property is near to the village of Loumarin which has many excellent restaurants and boutiques whilst Aix en Provence is just 30 minutes drive away.


The estate has 15 bedrooms in total laid out over a 12 bedroom chateau and separate 3 bedroom villa within the grounds. 

The main chateau measures approximately 1000 metres square and offers stunning accommodation throughout. There is a fully equipped stainless steel kitchen as well as a separate laundry room equipped with both washing machine and dryer. The kitchen has a central island, under which there are bar stools, as well as an original fireplace adding a real contrast to the contemporary units. There are plenty of living areas in which to relax. There is a comfortable living area enjoying plenty of natural light and furnished with plenty of chairs and sofas which leads through to a stylish bar area. A dining room can seat up to 28 guests, whilst there is a TV room furnished in a very traditional British style in darker shades of greys and cream and with comfortable leather sofas. This room is also air conditioned.

Each of the bedrooms is individually furnished and all are incredibly stylish. Whilst most are double rooms, some can be laid out as either twin or double rooms. The first of the bedrooms is on the ground floor enabling access for those with reduced mobility, whilst there are 8 bedrooms on the first floor and 3 on the second floor.

The ground floor bedroom is a large room with kingsize bed and ensuite shower room. Three of the bedrooms on the first floor have kingsize beds. One of these rooms has an ensuite bathroom with bath tub whilst another has an ensuite shower room and the other has both shower and bath. There are then 2 additional bedrooms on this floor which can be laid out as either kingsize bedrooms or twin bedrooms with 2 single beds. Both these bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms. In addition there is a slightly smaller bedroom with queensize bed which can also be made up as a twin room if guests prefer and with ensuite bathroom with bath tub. Finally there are two more bedrooms on this floor that have both kingsize beds (that can also be made up as twin beds) as well as well as a queen size bed. Both these bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms. Moving up to the second floor, there are two bedrooms with queensize beds and a bedroom with kingsize bed. All these rooms can be made up with 2 single beds if guests prefer. All have ensuite shower rooms.

For our English speaking guests, most of the 12 bedrooms in the main house are also equipped with Satellite TV (with UK news channels). There are plenty of other mod cons in the property too including an iPod dock. The house also boasts a fully equipped gym for those who are looking to exercise during their stay.

The separate villa has 3 bedrooms all with ensuite shower rooms. It also has it's own kitchen and living areas. Again, as with the main villa, it's an incredibly stylish property, beautifully furnished throughout. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor whilst the other 2 bedrooms are on the first floor of the house. The ground floor bedroom has a kingsize bed which can be laid out with 2 single beds if guests prefer. The first of the bedrooms on the first floor has a kingsize bed whilst the second has a queensize bed.

Outside, the grounds are spectacular set in acres of vineyards. There are 2 private pools that guests can enjoy. The main pool is situated 75 metres from the property and enjoys wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. This pool is large, measuring 20 metres by 5 metres. The second pool is smaller and is situated near the 3 bedroom villa. This is smaller measuring 5 metres by 3 metres but is heated. Plenty of sun loungers are provided and there are a number of different terraces and seating areas to choose from both in the shade and enjoying full sunshine, dependent on what you prefer. For the ultimate in relaxation, there is also a brand new spa and sauna. We can provide a range of beauty treatments and massages at the property for a small additional charge. Outdoor tables can seat up to 34 guests allowing everyone to dine al fresco together and there are 2 gas BBQs that guests are welcome to use. 

There is plenty to entertain everyone including tennis courts and table football table.

Please note that we are able to provide a breakfast, lunch or dinner service for a small additional cost. The caretaker lives in a separate property within the grounds. It is also possible to rent a second kitchen to use during your stay. This is a professional kitchen located within the property. This is available for an additional cost of 1500 euros per week. The hire of this kitchen is only possible if the clients have hired the services of a chef during their stay. A 5000 euro security deposit is also required should guests wish to hire this kitchen.

Rates include linen and towels including pool towels. Final cleaning is included in the price as well as a daily maid service of 3 hours. Please note that the maid is not responsible for the guest's personal laundry or for washing up the guest's dirty dishes, pots and pans. Additional housekeeping services can be provided for a small additional cost. Linens are changed weekly. 

A 7000 euro security deposit is payable locally on arrival but is refunded in full after your stay upon the property being left in satisfactory condition.

A 30% deposit is required on booking to reserve the dates. The  balance of rental payment is due 9 weeks before arrival. Payment can be made in either GBP or euros. Payment methods include direct bank transfer, credit / debit card or PayPal. Please ask for more details.
