We know that booking a holiday in Italy can throw up a number of questions. We hope that this guide will help answer some of those questions. How do I check availability?
We aim to keep our availabilty calendars up to date at all times. Simply click on the calendar on the top right hand side of the property page to view current availability levels for your chosen property. Any dates which are not available will be indicated in red. If you are unsure whether a property is available, simply enter your holiday dates and click on the 'enquire' button to drop us an email. We'll aim to get back to you within 12 hours to confirm availability. Usually, we respond within 2 hours.
Can I speak to someone before I book?
Of course... we love it when we get to speak to our guests! Please do give us a call on +44 (0)1428 645421 and we will be happy to discuss your chosen holiday property with you. We can also take your booking over the phone if you prefer.
How do I book?
If you would like to book, please complete the booking process within the property availabiity section. Just select your chosen holiday dates on the top right hand side of the page, click on 'book now' and it will take you through the booking process. During the booking process, guests will be able to chose their preferred payment method. At the end of the booking process, guests choosing to pay by either credit or debit card will be transferred to a secure online payment page to make the deposit payment. If you have chosen to pay via PayPal or direct bank transfer, we will be in touch separately to provide payment details.
Once we have received your completed booking form, we will check availabiity for your chosen dates and will email you back within 24 hours to confirm the price and dates. We recommend that guests do not book flights or make any other travel arrangements until you have received this confirmation email from us.
What is the deposit?
The deposit amount varies dependent on the property but, in most cases, tends to be 30% of the total rental price. We can sometimes offer reduced deposits. Please ask for more details.
How can I pay the deposit?
We accept payments by direct bank transfer in either British Pounds or euros. Alternatively guests can pay via credit / debit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Payment by debit card is also possible. Guests may also pay via PayPal.
Why should I book with Bookings For You?
Lots of reasons! Firstly, we pride ourselves on the level of customer service that we provide. We visit all the properties on our site and know the areas we operate in very well. This means that we can advise you on all elements of your stay, from which holiday property would best suit you to the best restaurants to visit in the area. Secondly, we also aim to offer extremely competitive rates. If you have seen a property that we manage cheaper elsewhere, let us know and we will do our best to match that price. I've paid my deposit... what happens next?
Once you have paid your deposit, we will send an email confirming that the payment has been received and that the property has been booked for your chosen dates. Please check this email when you receive it to make sure we have all the details correct. After that, sit back and start looking forward to your holiday! We will be back in touch with a reminder when the balance of rental payment is due. At that time, we will also email full directions to your chosen holiday property.
Are you bonded?
As Bookings For You are not a package operator there is no requirement for us to be bonded. If you want the extra peace of mind when booking and to ensure that your holiday is protected, the best way is to pay by credit card. Your credit card company will cover you in the event of our failure. However, rest assured, this is not going to happen!!!
How do I pay the balance of rental payment?
You can pay the balance of rental payment in exactly the same way as you paid the deposit, by direct bank transfer in either British Pounds or euros, by credit or debit card or via PayPal.
What does the breakages insurance payment cover?
Most properties charge either a £10 per person or 10 euro person non refundable breakage insurance charge. This covers guests for any damage in the rental property up to the value of 300 euros. In some circumstances, guests can choose to opt out of this payment in which case a larger refundable security deposit is payable instead. This is returned to the guest after departure upon the property being left in satisfactory condition. Please contact us for more details.
Can you help with organising travel insurance?
I'm afraid that we don't provide travel insurance. However, we strongly recommnend that all our guests take out travel insurance ahead of their stay. European residents travelling to Italy should also ensure that they have a EHIC card, which enables you to use the health service facilities whilst on holiday in Italy. Please note that under Italian law you must always carry your licence, insurance and registration documents with you at all times whilst driving.
Can you help with organising car hire?
We don't book car hire for our guests. But we are pleased to partner with AutoEurope and can recommend their service to all our clients. AutoEurope deals with all the major car hire companies around the world. The company will do the hard work for you, checking which local supplier is offering the best prices for the car you want for the dates you need it.
What are your check in and departure times?
For most properties, check in is from 4 p.m. onwards. However, check in times do vary dependent on the property. Please ask for the check in times of the particular property you are interested in. If you are arriving early, and the property is not ready for you, it is still usually possible to drop your luggage off at your villa or apartment, allowing you to start exploring the area. Check out is at 10 a.m.
Do you visit all the properties on your site?
It is really important to us that we visit all the properties on our website so that we can offer our guests the best possible advice. Whilst we aim to visit all our properties before they go on our website, this is occasionally not possible. If this is the case, we will let you know if we haven't had the chance to view the property.
