Villa La Chiusa
This elegant Tuscan villa on the outskirts of Lucca, was originally part of a vast estate and has been with the current owner's family 'for ever'. The villa itself has been recently fully restored by the owner, who while making sure the property has all the modern appliances needed, has also ensured the villa has kept its traditional character, with terracotta tiled floors and frescoed rooms. The villa is furnished with precious antique furniture and refined upholstery which come together to make Villa La Chiusa both elegant and charming - a special stay for art lovers.
It is situated on the level countryside near Lucca, only 3.5km from the Renaissance-era city walls. The large garden is surrounded by an old garden wall, with a vine pergola running along two sides, ensuring seclusion for guests. The villa has a round private swimming pool with sunbeds and garden furniture, along with a BBQ and outside dining area.
On the ground floor, there is a large sitting room with a baby grand piano, just waiting to be played. There is a satellite TV, computer station with ADSL line and WI-FI connection. The kitchen is large, and decorated in an old country style, but with modern applicances such as dishwasher, fridge, freezer, gas cooker and microwave oven. There is a separate laundry with washing machine. Meals can be enjoyed in the outside eating area or in the large dining room / breakfast room. Bedroom 1, a queen size room with a bathroom (with shower), is also on the ground floor.
On the first floor, there is a large sitting room and the four other bedrooms. Bedroom 2 is a double bedroom with large en-suite bathroom with whirlpool tub and shower. Bedroom 3 is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower. Bedroom 4 is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and bedroom 5 is a twin bedroom.
This villa is ideally situated with shopping centres and supermarkets very close, and major outlet stores such as Prada, Gucci etc are within an hour by car.
A professional chef can be arranged to prepare delicious traditional Italian meals, and if you need extra advice on which wines to choose, a professional sommelier is also available. Please contact us to discuss costs for this and for tours around Tuscan including visits to wineries or to the opera or theatre.
